Hailing from the City of Angels on America's West Coast, THE MAE SHI have experienced some seriously fun times over the years, spreading their righteous gospel on the genius of their band – a truly special musical beast. Taking the DIY tack to a new level, The Mae Shi have been together since 2002 and have self-released various recordings over the years in America only. For those who need a brief catch up, here's a little of what you've missed out on:.four records and 250 shows of busted electronics, spazzier-than-fuck drums, crazy-ass boogie guitar, distorted caveman bass and throat-destroying vocals, seeing the band playing in 100 different basements and garages to 100s of different kids.

DANANANANAYKROYD deal in all-or-nothing scrapey guitar rock. It's utterly delirious, insane fun with subtle touches in each corner to elevate these already-brilliant songs to a territory clearly marked 'genius'.

PEGGY SUE AND THE PIRATES are the lo-fi duo made up of friends Rosa and Katy from Brighton. Armed with beautiful harmonies, a selection of ‘doo-be-doos' and an armful of bass lines, the girls began gigging in Brighton supporting the likes of The Gossip, Joan As Police Woman, The Maccabees, Jack Penate and becoming friends with the emerging Kate Nash. The two velvety-voiced ladies' fluffy vocal harmonies, accompanied only by an acoustic guitar and sounding something like The Moldy Peaches if they had grown up dancing to Sleater Kinney and learnt to sing listening to Billie Holiday – think Cocorosie, but with more punky guts.

Transgressive is delighted to announce this year’s inaugural Transgressive Hot Summer Tour to take place nationally throughout the UK in July.

The summer is traditionally an unlikely time to tour – it’s all festivals and holidays and days being lost. So the format is simple: take a vital mini-festival of sorts on the road, town to town, of the most exciting new acts the world has to offer right now and allow an evening of discovery to unfurl. Each act will play just 30 minutes each, and the change-overs in between acts will be strictly tight. And it won’t cost you an arm and a leg or a weekend in the mud. Chances are you can probably get a bus home afterwards, too.

Naturally, all acts on the bill are Transgressive affiliated, and thus thrillingly diverse – including the likes of brand-new signings ESSER, LIAM FINN, SO SO MODERN, and OX.EAGLE.LION.MAN, as well as long-standing Transgressive favourites JEREMY WARMSLEY and ABSENTEE.

In choice, intimate venues across the country, a rotating line-up of four or five acts will perform each night.

Without further ado, here are the all-important line-ups and dates (exact running orders to be decided on the night in a ‘lottery’-style selection – so everyone must arrive early to avoid missing out):
