‘Thank you to everyone who has come out to the shows and festivals throughout this year. The past 12 months have been incredibly intense, starting with the birth of my first child, an amazing and life-changing thing, the release of my second album, followed by a heavy touring schedule, during which I moved our home to the other side of the world and back to Europe.
This years touring has really taken its toll on me both mentally and physically, and I’ve been strongly advised to take some time out. I am therefore going to be moving the October/November headline tour dates to next year.
I’m very sorry to anyone I disappoint in doing this, I wouldn’t be doing it if I didn’t feel it absolutely necessary. I am really thankful for your love and support, and look forward to coming back next year with clarity and health.’

With this album Howl reveals his true talent as a songwriter and arranger, mixing well-crafted storytelling with a dry wit, it is also more ambitious, touching on themes of idol worship, friends and the family unit.
Montero is artist and musician Ben Montero.
Montero operates in the rich widescreen soft rock tradi- tion, updating the romantic classicism of golden era love songs with a psychedelic pop brush. Montero’s music evokes the extended soundscapes and textures of 70s prog, the easy listening adult weirdness of Jimmy Webb and Burt Bacharach, and the sports arena pounding of vintage MOR rock – sometimes all in the space of one song. With an emphasis on clear vocals, soaring melodies, lush instrumentation and dreamy glam pomp, Montero ven- tures into gently surreal realms of romance, yearning, and wonder.
As a visual artist, Ben’s comic-based style highlights the universality of small human moments via a cast of furry (or sometimes slimy) friends. His art has graced album covers, t-shirts and posters for Mac Demarco, Ariel Pink, Kurt Vile, Pond and others. He draws a regular comic for the Vice website.
New music from Montero is due later in the year on Chapter Music, co-produced with Jay Watson of Pond/Tame Impala and Grammy Award winning engineer Riccardo Damian, recorded at Mark Ronson’s London studio.

Baio will be back in London for a headline show at the MOTH Club!
Baio, the solo project of Vampire Weekend bassist Chris Baio, followed up a string ofEPs (Mira EP, Sunburn EP) with his full-length debut, The Names, in September 2015. Chris’ solo work is a continuation of his time as a college radio DJ, where he first fell in love with electronic music. “What I wanted to feel with this record was that it’s not a band record, it’s not a solo record and it’s not a producer record, but a combination of all three. I wanted to create a space where almost anything could happen”.

Brighton-based Fujiya & Miyagi have been making expansive, experimental and multifaceted electronic-driven music for over fifteen years now. Snapped Ankles have emerged from the woods clutching an album that feels simultaneously modern and ancient. This is what dance music will sounds like when computers finally fail us. Log synths, bass guitar and sticks on taut animal skin coalesce to form fearsome primal rhythms. Fuzz guitars rubbing up against dirty rolling arpeggiated synthesisers to ignite wild white noise fires. Forest folklore passed down through generations, has made its way onto the tracks. Subjects veer from dystopian futures to railing against Swedish flat-pack furniture, from the films of Jean-Luc Godard and Andrei Tarkovsky to throwaway Youtube comments. High art and cultural detritus are all fair game – a brave new world indeed.
