World Restart feat. Kelela & Ade is the opening track from the brand new Kindness album, which is out next week through Female Energy. The album features appearances from Dev Hynes and Robyn amongst others and we’ve had this on loop since we got it here in the office. We can’t see that changing much before the headline show at the Electric Brixton in January.

Tickets for the show are on sale via Songkick now - BUY HERE

We’re still in a blissful haze following Night + Day last week. We’ve had tons of great photos flowing our way all week. We sent down Carolina Faruolo who got some ace snaps of her own. Check out our favourite few below, and more on our Facebook.

Another huge and fun year of Field Day has passed and will live long in the memory. Here at EYOE the festival season is continuing with our thoughts and excitement turning to The xx programmed Night+Day London.

See above for details as we get very excited indeed.

Not sure what to expect from Night+Day next month? This beautifully shot video of the Lisbon leg offers up a lovely taster of what to expect. We’re getting very excited now and the line-up - Solange, Mount Kimbie, Polica, Kindness, Jamie xx (DJ), Benji B (DJ), Sampha (DJ) - promises to provide some sweltering music.

WED 7TH NOVEMBER
KINDNESS

Kindness kicks off a busy week in London for us. Adam Bainbridge and co boast one of the most fun shows we’ve seen for years and he’s got a lot to celebrate this time. His debut record is in firm reckoning for the year’s best.

THU 8TH NOVEMBER
CLOCK OPERA

Clock Opera are another band who released a triumphant debut record this year. We’ve been on their trail since the start and it’s been great to watch Clock Opera blossom this year into the band they had promised to be. Very exciting last London show for a while.

THU 8TH NOVEMBER
ANDREW BIRD

Andrew Bird just released his second record for the year Hands of Glory. It’s a big treat full of great renditions and a couple of new bits in there too. He’s blown us away once already earlier in the year. We wouldn’t bet on him doing it again this week.

FRI 9TH NOVEMBER
MARK KOZELEK – SOLD OUT

Mark Kozelek is in town for a rare appearence. On this first night he hits Union Chapel, before playing at the tiny St Giles Church on Saturday night. Both shows will be very special indeed.

FRI 9TH NOVEMBER
DARKSTAR

Darkstar have just announced a second record News from Nowhere. We’re still enamoured with North and looking forward to hearing highlights from that as well as a taster for whats to come. Patten supports and is well worth catching.

SAT 10TH NOVEMBER
SPECTOR

This year’s Kings of pop hit the hallowed boards of Shepherd’s Bush Empire to round off a hugely exciting tour. They play with up-and-comers LULS, Splashh and Swim Deep.

SAT 10TH NOVEMBER
MARK KOZELEK

SAT 10TH NOVEMBER
LOTUS PLAZA

A rare solo London outing for Deerhunter man Lockett Pundt. He’s the man who wrote some of our favourite tunes in that band - Desire Lines, Nothing Ever Happened - and his debut record from this year is brilliant too.

Auteur of some of the year’s best vids Adam Bainbridge has a certain presence that works well on screen. Check out his new documentry about That’s Alright, a song built almost entirely from samples of a Trouble Funk song. When Bainbridge hit the US recently he invited Trouble Funk to come and see the new intepretation. Check it out above.

Like it or not Autumn is looming. You can feel it in the air and see it in the encroaching dark nights. One piece of good news with the change in season is that the live music schedule kicks up a gear. We’re very busy indeed over the coming months and we’ve put together a handy playlist to throw on and see what takes your fancy. We have shows with each of these artists over the next three months, and you can see details over here.

Kindness has been busy the past few days: first he popped in to 6 music for an interview with Mark Radcliffe and Stuart Maconie, and then last night he joined Nick Grimshaw on Radio One. Click those links to get your Kindness fix. He plays for us on November 7th. We can’t wait.
