Jagwar Ma’s debut record is one of our most eagerly anticipated for a while. Their brilliant single Man I Need has been on heavy rotation here at EYOE and we were excited to see a video for the tune pop up online late yesterday. Have a watch via the below link…
Today marks the release of the new Tribes record Wish to Scream. We’ve been blasting it here at Eat Your Own Ears ever since a stream surfaced last week and can’t wait for their Roundhouse launch show next week. Hotly tipped Wolf Alice and Superfood support, making it a bill that really ought not to be missed! Stream Wish to Stream via NME below, or grab it now via iTunes, Spotify or any good old fashioned record shop.
Another episode of Field Day Radio is up and this one is a Village Mentality special. It’s a fun episode featuring a great selection of music and an exclusive chat with Wild Nothing. Have a listen below and ready yourself for next weekend’s festival!
Excitement is building for next weekend’s Field Day. Check out the complete stage times above!
Not sure what to expect from Night+Day next month? This beautifully shot video of the Lisbon leg offers up a lovely taster of what to expect. We’re getting very excited now and the line-up - Solange, Mount Kimbie, Polica, Kindness, Jamie xx (DJ), Benji B (DJ), Sampha (DJ) - promises to provide some sweltering music.
Anticipation for Jagwar Ma’s debut record Howlin has reached fever pitch at EYOE HQ. The band have been responsible for two of our favourite songs in recent times with The Throw and Man I Need (Come Save Me is brilliant too) and the record should be one of the year’s best. They are over in June to play XOYO just after that record drops.
You can grab tickets for that show here: http://www.wegottickets.com/event/211763
Have a spin of some Jagwar Ma hits below…
Vessels are one of the best live acts of the past few years and we’re delighted to have them back at Cargo on the 3rd of June. If you haven’t seen them live before you can get a taster for what to expect via this very nice live take of Attica at the Garage recently. Have a look above…
Here’s a great mix to kick off the weekend from J Marinetti who we had supporting that Atoms for Peace show a while back, and who we’ve roped in for more in support of Neneh and Oscar who bring their party to the Shacklewell Arms next week. Listen below to a mix he made for Lucky Me/Rinse FM.
The trail to These New Puritans’ new album starts here with Fragment Two, a sombre, lilting tune big on prettiness and guile. For a bit of bonus reading take a glance at their interview with Pitchfork about that new record here:
We’ve got the excellent Pinkunoizu playing for us on the 15th of May at Electrowerkz. The band also just dropped their latest EP for Full Time Hobby called Second Amendment. The EP is out this week and ranks as one of the very best we’ve heard this year - reviews have agreed so far too, particular this great 8/10 on The 405.
But don’t take our word for it, stream the whole thing below and join us in our excitement for the 15th.
