“Blissful…Nine minutes of skittering hypno-music” – 50 Essential Tracks, Q
“It’s a masterclass in how to to make machine music pulse with subtle twinges of human emotion.” 4* Review Q
“Yet another deceptively simple yet frankly glorious Four Tet production.” 4.5* DJ
“Lush percussive nine-minuter that will sing to all ears” - On Heavy Rotation, Winter’s Essential Tracks in iDJ
“There Is Love In You radiates a mellow subtlety...She Just Likes To Fight a twinkling pastoral while the luscious groove of of Plastic People pushes its most interesting clicks and skitters to the periphery ”Mojo
“joyously emotive stuff….Could that be a Mercury nod in the Post?”4*DJ Mag
“hand-stitched tapestry of astral-jazz harp, dusty acoustics, crackling breakbeats, music-box twinkles and twitchy IDM” Uncut
“perhaps his best yet, sealing his reputation for blending jazz, electronica and classical influences into seamless, shimmering soundscapes with an ever-mutating style. “Love Cry is a lush dancefloor disco epic” 8 Rocksound
“like all the craziest bits of techno, hip-hop, folk and jazz having a sex-orgy…Proper, prescription-strength ear-drugs.” 4* Front
After selling out his first London show of the new decade which features tastemaker poll-topper JOY ORBISON, Four Tet will be performing under the vaulted arches of East London’s Village Underground venue.
2010 is set to be a big year for Four Tet, with single Love Cry sitting firmly in the year-end best-of lists, and 5th album There Is Love In You winning star reviews across the board.
Having kept busy with remixes of everyone from Radiohead to Madvillain, Four Tet, AKA Kieran Hebden shows no sign of rust on the aforementioned single a lush, sprawling house jam that builds upon a jazzy drum loop over the course of its nine minute run time. The remainder of There Is Love In You's nine tracks go a long way in demonstrating why Four Tet is one of the most dynamic acts now.
