We’ve got the excellent Pinkunoizu playing for us on the 15th of May at Electrowerkz. The band also just dropped their latest EP for Full Time Hobby called Second Amendment. The EP is out this week and ranks as one of the very best we’ve heard this year - reviews have agreed so far too, particular this great 8/10 on The 405.

But don’t take our word for it, stream the whole thing below and join us in our excitement for the 15th.

The xx kicked off their series of Night+Day events in Lisbon over the weekend. By all accounts it was an amazing start. Get a taste for it by watching a nice fan video of Angels above, a song whose universal sentiment has translated to mass singalongs across the globe over the past months. We’re looking forward to the London leg, which you can buy tickets for here.

Field Day Radio Episode 13

Fresh from spinning some tracks at R Stevie Moore last night, we’re greeting the morning with an excellent radio show courtesy of Field Day Radio and Tim Burgess.

Episode 13 is a Tim Burgess Special, with Tim in the studio selecting his favourite music and giving exclusive acoustic performances of his songs ‘The Doors Of Then’ and ‘The Economy’. Tim discusses his O Genesis Label, spinning some of its latest releases and tells us how excited he is to bring his own coffee stall to Field Day, in the form of Tim Peaks Coffee.

Tim also explores his musical past with tracks that have influenced him over the years and selects some great new music from his favourite Field Day artists. Music comes from the likes of R. Stevie Moore and Kurt Vile, as well as classic tracks by New Order, The Byrds, The Damned and, of course, The Charlatans.

We love it when EYOE acts team up and this one is a particular recent highlight. The tune is a new one from Neneh Cherry (& Afrika Baby Bam) which is produced by Four Tet. We’ve got Four Tet at Field Day this year and Neneh is back with Oscar Scheller to raise a bit of a party at the Shacklewell Arms later on this month. For a taster of what to expect listen to a mix from Neneh and Oscar here, and then check out the Four Tet collab below.

We’re lucky enough to have two nights of Chilly Gonzales this week, one last night, and one tonight - for which there are still tickets. We didn’t even have to stay up all night. Daft Punk, the world’s most high profile lucksters, have got Chilly on their album and have the man himself chatting about melodies on the new record and his own contribution in the video above. Have a watch and make a good last minute decision to see Chilly tonight.

The ever entertaining R Stevie Moore is in London playing for us on Thursday (at Cargo). He offered up a session for Marc Riley last night on 6 Music and it was very good indeed. Listen to that again here.

For a bit of bonus material check out R Stevie Moore enjoying himself at Field Day last year!

Jagwar Ma are prepping their debut LP “Howlin’” and have let another song go - this one is called Man I Need and clocks in at nearly 10 minutes. Settle in below…

We’ve read a lot of Coachella reports pinpointing Local Natives closer Sun Hands as one of the best moments of this year’s festival. Take a watch/listen of some stream footage above for some conclusive proof. We’ve had some amazing moments to Local Natives live over the past year or so and look forward to having them back later on in 2013. They hit Brixton on October 17th and you can get tickets for that here.

Or should that be concerto? Chilly Gonzales has always flirted between notions of classical and pop music. One thing not in doubt is the quality of his Solo Piano output and the above film showcases an entire piano show from the man. It gives you more than a taste of what to expect from Chilly’s very special Solo Piano shows with us on the 30th April and 1st of May. There’s still a handful of tickets, which you can grab here.
