Arthur Beatrice – Grand Union Video + Album Announcement

Great video for Grand Union, directed by Kate Moross above – accompanied by the long awaited release date for Arthur Beatrice’s debut record ‘Working Out’. It’s set for 3rd February 2014 and we’re very excited indeed. We’ve watched the band grow and grow over a course of Open Assembly shows the past 12-18 months and it’s great to see them ready to bloom.

EYOE Guide to October 2013 (mix)

We’ve got an epic October coming up – 31 songs worth in our latest Spotify mix, which you can stream below. Not only that but we welcome a whole raft of exciting acts to London from CHVRCHES (above), Jagwar Ma and Clean Bandit to Tamikrest, Sidi Toure and an all-day Sunday show with Four Tet.

Quite a few of those shows are sold out and selling out every day, but you can still cherry pick some fine nights here: https://www.eatyourownears.com/events

Today we’re taking the spool all the way back to 2010 and reliving a sunny July Field Day. Some moments will live long in the memory for us – Caribou playing Sun as the day turned into night and of course the big Phoenix headline set too. A scan of the smaller stages brings up some gold too – Toro Y Moi and Factory Floor.

Take a listen to a Field Day 2010 mix below – it’s possibly our favourite so far of this series, featuring Atlas Sound, Gold Panda, HudMo, Steve Mason and Moderat. Share your memories on our Facebook page here.

Four Tet Curated Day at Village Underground

Four Tet’s new record Beautiful Rewind hits select indie stores this week and we’re looking ahead to an exciting (and slightly different) event curated by the man himself in late October. The artwork is above, and we kick off at 8am on Sunday 27th with a Four Tet live set – starting out the day with a bang and keeping things going until the evening.

Julio x Jessie

Here’s something fresh for the week (sorry). Julio Bashmore teams up with Jessie Ware for a great new one from his upcoming 2014 album – one that is highly anticipated in these quarters.

You can hear that tune below, and then hear it much, much louder in London on the 12th of October.
