Local Natives – Ceilings Video

Local Natives have spent quite a bit of time on tour this year in support of their excellent Hummingbird album. They are back in London (with Cloud Control and Big Deal) for a show we’re overexcited about and the new video helps shed some light on the little things Local Natives do inbetween shows – the result is a touching diary of the snapshot life of a touring band. Watch it above. Tickets for London’s Brixton Academy on 17th of October here.

Tim Burgess Reschedules Show

TIM BURGESS
 Reschedules London show

Eat Your Own Ears and Tim Burgess have decided to reschedule Tim’s solo London show from October 21st to December 16th.

The decision was taken after it was announced yesterday that The Charlatans will be hosting a one-off night at The Royal Albert Hall on October 18th in memory of drummer Jon Brookes who died last month.

Original tickets are valid for the new date. Refunds are available from your ticket agent.

Duologue in London next week

image

We’re very excited to have Duologue back in London next week, with Seasfire, Wild Swim and Lovepark (DJs) in tow. The band hit XOYO on the 25th and are bringing along a string quartet too. The show is in support of their latest single, a double a-side “Talk Shop / Gift Horse” which is out next Monday and can be snagged from iTunes here. The single is taken from Song & Dance, their record from earlier in the year – one we count as one of the year’s best.

Tickets for next week’s show here.

Linda Perhacs returns to the UK

Linda Perhacs’ excellent record Parallelograms didn’t get a lot of attention upon its release in 1970, but records that good don’t go unnoticed forever, and it was picked up in the mid 00s as a crucial influence for the likes of Devendra Banhart. You can hear some Perhacs in Joanna Newsome too.

It’s been over 40 years since Linda Perhacs last toured Europe and we’re delighted to have her playing in London at the end of this year for a show that will doubtlessly live long in the memory.

Tickets here.

Four Tet All-Day

We’re delighted to announce an all-day event curated by Four Tet at the end of October. On Sunday 27th October Four Tet will kick things off with a live set at 8am, and the day will ramp up from there with Daphni, Kyle Hall, Slimzee, DJ Barely Legal, Beneath and Slackk all confirmed.

As a bonus check out a mini-documentry from The Creators Project to celebrate the recent reissue of ‘Rounds’. Listen to a new one below too…

Stream Cloud Control – Dream Cave LP

We’re big fans of Cloud Control here at EYOE having had them in London a few times now. They’re back in mid-October as the heavy undercard to Local Natives at Brixton Academy, which we’re sure will be up there alongside our gigs of the year when the dust settles. Warm up by listening to the new (and great) Cloud Control record Dream Cave via Fake DIY below.
