Time to put on her self-titled debut and get anticipating.

Snow Ghosts – Murder Cries (Session)

We’ve been spending quite a bit of time with the excellent Snow Ghosts record ‘A Small Murmuration’ and stumbled across this excellent session take for Radio 2 from a couple of weeks ago. The duo – made up of Throwing Snow and Augustus Ghost bring their enveloping, dark sound to St Pancras Old Church early on in September and promises to be a real late summer highlight.

Pinkunoizu Album Stream

We’ve been following Danish band Pinkunoizu all year in the run up to the release of their second album The Drop. The record is streaming via NME now and comes highly recommended from us. Dig into the Krauty, strange other-worldliness from the link above.

Julia Holter – In the Green Wild (Live at Pitchfork Festival)

It’s not too long until we get to see Julia Holter in London again – she plays Cecil Sharp House on August 20th – and she’s poised to release one of the records of the year with Loud City Songs. Have a sneak preview of the live show with the above clip, shot at last weeks Pitchfork Festival in Chicago. Excellent stuff.

Quasi – You Can Stay But You Got To Go

Here’s a fun new video from Quasi to start the week. Janet Weiss and Sam Coobes are the stars too, donning a few different guises as the camera slowly, everlastingly pans around a small room. We’ve got Quasi with us twice in London before the end of the year – supporting Kurt Vile & The Violators on the 11th of December, and a show of their own at Cargo on Friday 13th of December.
