EUROS CHILDS frontman of much-loved Welsh psych-folk pop quartet,
Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci plays a headline show Saturday March 11th at Bush
Hall to air his long-awaited first solo album ‘Chops’ which is coming
out this February on Wichita.

Tonight sees him play an enchanting live set of wistful fluid pop
psychedelia as he mixes synth sounds, weird monkey chants with folk-pop
melodies.. From the opening, almost novelty keyboard salvo, it sounds
like a hallucinogen crazed wedding band have been unleashed, but by the
time the chorus bounces into sight, it all seems to make perfect sense.
Think Vangelis and Black Lace making a disco blowout hit together. It
sounds so wrong but ends up hitting the nail on the head.

East London’s SEMIFINALISTS play a live set of raw melodic punky pop
post rock, mixing delicate tunes with driving drums and layers of
guitars… Imagine all the 80?s pop hit records, melted into one huge
blob, which then re-cut and re-constructed by King Crimson and Sonic
Youth. With references to The Flaming Lips, The Unicorns, Cindy Lauper
and Mercury Rev…

Emerging from the same scene as the Mystery Jets EMMY THE GREAT plays a solo acoustic set of folky pop songs…

After their sold out show at the Scala last November Brooklyn-based
group ANIMAL COLLECTIVE bring their psychedelic melodic insanity to the
Astoria on Thursday July 13th.
