Chvrches are one of the most exciting bands we’ve come across for a while. Their glitchy electronic music is somewhere between The Knife and Purity Ring but blown up in scale. We put some free tickets out there for their show at Electrowerkz and they sold out in record time. Get onboard the hype with their jam The Mother We Share below…

Good news via Pitchfork that Mark Kozelek a.k.a. Sun Kil Moon is prepping three records; a live album, another covers record (he previously took on Modest Mouse) and a soundtrack.

Kozelek plays two shows for us before the year is out on a rare trip to the UK. Don’t miss him!

EYOE faves Darkstar are back next week for us playing ahead of a new single ‘Timeaway’. We’ve been playing that tune an awful lot lately and can’t wait to see whats in store. Sometimes the stars (no pun intended) align and allow us to really curat a superb show and with Patten in main support this night has really come together  - his firecracker electronic music is set to be the perfect warm-up.

We’ve got Four Tet keeping us awake all hours next weekend at Brixton Academy, as a sort of amusé bouche check out this superb Jamie xx take on ‘Lion’ from Hebdon’s Pink.

Auteur of some of the year’s best vids Adam Bainbridge has a certain presence that works well on screen. Check out his new documentry about That’s Alright, a song built almost entirely from samples of a Trouble Funk song. When Bainbridge hit the US recently he invited Trouble Funk to come and see the new intepretation. Check it out above.

Love this one from Here We Go Magic. They are back in town next week, October 30th. Don’t miss out.

We’ve been waiting for this a while and now you can have a listen to Andrew Bird’s second record of the year Hands of Glory. He’s back playing for us very soon and we can’t wait.

P.S. A google image search of Hands of Glory is very creepy indeed.

Stream Hands of Glory here.

Pop duo Pandr Eyez are all set to play a free show for us on the 28th of November at Shacklewell Arms. Their song Again and Again has been a somewhat permenant fixture lately. Grab a free MP3 below AND a free ticket…

This one’s been on heavy rotation lately. Great video too…
