The iconic Bill Callahan will be returning to London on 2nd November for a show at the Roundhouse. Joined by his go-to guitarist, Matt Kinsey, Jim White of Dirty Three on drums and Dustin Laurenzi on tenor sax (Bon Iver, This Is The Kit), this is set to be a very special performance with the promise of brand new material on the way soon.

‘We are pleased to announce that we will be doing some shows in the UK in November. There will be a new album available by that time. The band will be Bill Callahan (guitar), Matt Kinsey (guitar), Jim White (drums) and Dustin Laurenzi (tenor sax). Since the world broke in two and we are living in the growling remains — we will make glue, we will make sunshine or we will at least intoxicate you. Influenced by The Stanford Prison Experiment, ‘The Wave’, and Adorno’s The Authoritarian Personality, a mini totalitarian state will be created inside Heaven. HMLTD will preside over a cult of personality, issuing commands to the audience, according to a predetermined class division.

When purchasing tickets for this show, you must chose between two differently priced tickets. ‘Subject’ or ‘Authority’. You will then be sent an e-mail closer to the event that details your rights, privileges, responsibilities and obligations. When attending the venue each audience member will also be provided with a wearable item that distinguishes and makes visible their position within the class system for the event.

The world, like this event, is an imagined order. ‘Throw away your books and rally in the squares / the world is ours and the world is a blank slate.’
