Solo Debut from Cat’s Eyes’ Rachel Zeffira

Rachel Zeffira of Cat’s Eyes will release her solo debut on December 10 from the superb RAF Records. With her enchanting voice, she and Faris Badwan of The Horrors made some of our favorite songs of 2010 – needless to say we’re pleased to have a preview show lined up in October. Zeffira will perform material from her new album The Deserters to a lucky set of audience members. Tickets for the show go on sale later today, and can be found here



The Making of ‘I was a Cat from a Book’

James Yorkston’s latest offering – I Was a Cat from a Book, isn’t out for another week but the glowing reviews have already started to pour in. The kind words coupled with samples of the record drifting through the internet have got us all very glad to see his name on our marquee. His performance at The Southbank Centre takes place September 24, tickets can be found here.

Well George Lewis Jr. has kept himself busy since he’s left, finishing up his novel about a motorcycle gang in the future. Gotta say, we’re glad he’s committing to this bad-boy aesthetic. Kindness Brings in Trouble Funk for New Video

Kindness already put out one of the best videos of the year with a in-session creation of House, safe to say he’s done it again with another live taste – this time using album highlight That’s Alright. The song features a pretty major sample from DC music legends Trouble Funk so it’s only right that Kindness brought them onstage to kick his Washington performance to a whole new level.
