London’s Hippest Promoters?

Our Ears Are Still Ringing From Martin Creed’s Bell Extravaganza

What’s that? Sorry we’re having trouble hearing after London shook from three minutes of relentless bell ringing this morning! Martin Creed’s latest art project – appropriately named Work No 1197: All the bells in a country rung as quickly and loudly as possible for three minutes managed to break the world record for most bells in a country being rung at once. Big Ben even managed to join in the fun, skipping from his strict schedule for the first time since 1952! Once again we’ve proven to the world how competent the British are at ringing things (Jeremy Hunt excluded).

Some choice clips of the festivities are below! Now pat yourself on the back while you can – when it comes to shaking a metal thing with another metal thing inside, Britain’s got the gold. Let’s see you try and pull that off Usain Bolt!

Martin Creed’s potentially record breaking show with us is this coming Wednesday, tickets can be found here.

Piñatas Come Alive in Andrew Bird’s New Video

Andrew Bird’s Break It Yourself is one of our 2012 faves so it’s only fitting that he’s gone ahead and put out our new favorite music video. A children’s birthday party gets a surprise when a living piñata comes out to join – but in a cute and not totally terrifying way. Watch the little film below!

We’re hosting a night with the stringed maestro at the Camden Roundhouse this November. Tickets can be found here.

Martin Creed talks Olympic Bells on BBC Radio 6

We’ve been going no about Martin Creed’s brilliant bell ringing festivities all week, now it’s about time we let the man speak for himself. He stopped into Marc Riley’s show to explain tomorrows ringing of the bells as well as play some choice hits. Listen here!
