Psych-Poppers Django Django have been reeling in critical praise since the release of their killer self titled LP. Their pop rhythms and harmonic vocals are tossed to the side for a Field Day Radio session as they blend hip hop and soul into a mix worth checking out.
Our favorite slacker rock tinged lo-fi up and comer Keel Her has been putting out an incredible stream of new tracks over the past weeks and we haven’t stopped checking her page for more. She opens for Las Kellies tonight at The Waiting Room – show up early to catch these hazy vibes at their prime. Bradford Cox is a special artist. From his very first Deerhunter shows he marked himself out as one of his generations most exciting frontmen, whether that’s taking those early heckles in his stride (or not) or the feeling you never quite know what to expect. Atlas Sound shows are even more unpredictable. His first bout of shows as Atlas Sound in the UK featured Cox playing out of a suitcase, armed with pedals, loop stations and more. His electronic jams became sort of spiritual; always invigorating. Three albums in (and three ‘Bedroom Databank’ tapes) and Atlas Sound expands into a full band on stage. They hit London on Thursday to play highlights from those three albums – including last year’s incredible ‘Parallax’ and we can’t wait.
