Liars – No.1 Against The Rush

Liars new record WIXIW is superb and they just released a video for that record’s debut single ‘No 1. Against The Rush’. Check it out above…

Stream: Mystery Jets – Radlands

The reviews are in for ‘Radlands’ and the impression is a resounding success. We’ve been listening to the record non-stop since we got hold of it, and now you can do, over at the NME.

Mystery Jets return to play for us on the 18th of May at Brixton Academy. It threatens to be one of the shows of the year – don’t miss it!

Grimes on Jools

Grimes made her television debut last night on Jools Holland and brought her quirky, alluring mysticism to front rooms across the country. She took to the iconic studio with an eye painted on her forehead, resting a mic on her shoulder like a telephone as she dialled in her otherworldly pop music. It was a great performance and we can’t wait to see her in May and again at Field Day.

2,000 Light Years from Home (Horrors Mix)

The Horrors have kindly made us a YouTube mix in the run up to their show for us on the 25th of May. It’s titled ‘2,000 Light Years from Home’, in their own words: ‘Here’s a YouTube playlist for your aural pleasure provided by Joe’

This Week’s Gigs

We’ve got a huge week of gigs lined-up – some great new acts and some old favourites, so without further ado, here’s a run down of what’s going on…

TUE 24TH APRIL
CLOCK OPERA

Clock Opera return to play for us and celebrate the release of their (brilliant) debut album. Over the past couple of years we’ve seen the band go from strength to strength, bolstered by an always amazing live show. Headlining the Scala marks their biggest show to date.

TUE 24TH APRIL
KISHI BASHI

WED 25TH APRIL
OF MONTREAL

Kishi Bashi is a violinist who collaborated on Of Montreal’s recent record. He’s over to play with the band at Koko on Wednesday but plays a free show at the Shacklewell Arms on Tuesday. Wednesday’s Of Montreal show marks a return to Koko to reprise what was one of our favourite shows of recent years last time they were in London. You never quite know what to expect with Kevin Barnes and co but recent shows have been getting rave reviews and we can expect to see some highlights from the excellent Paralytic Stalks.

WED 25TH APRIL
CHAIRLIFT + Outfit

Chairlift’s ‘Something’ is already one of our favourite records of 2012, and we expect it to stick around too – lined with some of the best pop songs of the past few years. The live show is intense, fun and big. In support are the excellent Outfit who will be playing tracks from their excellent debut EP out in May. Tickets running low!

THU 26TH APRIL
SANTIGOLD – SOLD OUT

A sold out return for one of our favourite bonafide pop stars. The new record picks up where Santigold left off a couple of years ago and we can’t wait to hear it live. This show is sold out, but if you’re lucky enough to have scored tickets tweet us your pictures and videos: @eatyourownears

FRI 27TH APRIL
TRIBES

The brilliant Tribes close off a huge week for us playing their biggest show to date at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire.

Shabazz Palaces released the audio from their excellent KEXP session for Record Store Day. You can watch the show above too, check it out now and prepare for the XOYO show.
