A bright and sunny start to August has made us realise in giddy excitement that it’s LESS THAN A WEEK TO GO until three of the best events to hit Victoria Park all year.
Kicking the weekend off on Friday is the 13-18 year olds at UNDERAGE festival. These guys always put the rest of us to shame with the sheer level of enthusiasm and love for music that they effortlessly muster without the need to be fuelled by alcohol. Then again, they’ve got a pretty awesome line up to get excited about, with performances from the likes of Bombay Bicycle Club, Dutch Uncles, Ghost Eyes and Cocknbullkid to name only a few. Last few tickets available here.
Then on Saturday is the much anticipated FIELD DAY. If you want to come along to witness what many believe to be the best line up yet, then you’d better be quick – the last few tickets are selling out very, very fast! You can get them here
As if Field Day isn’t enough excitement for you, The Shacklewell Arms will be celebrating all weekend, hosting parties jam packed with special guests, intimate performances and surprise DJ appearances. For more information, check out the Facebook event here
And on Sunday, get ready for THE APPLE CART– a brand new bespoke festival for lovers of music, comedy, interactive art, cabaret, good food and magic from the Field Day/Underage Festival team. Boasting a truly mind blowing and eclectic line up that has something for everyone, with Patrick Wolf playing his only London Summer festival performance this year, music from Badly Drawn Boy, Saint Etienne, Soul II Soul (P.A set), Steve Mason + Andrew Weatherall to play a special set of ‘the songs that inspired Screamadelica’. Comedy rock superstar Tim Minchin and commentator / stand-up comedian Mark Steel on the comedy stage. Peruse the full lineup here
Tickets are also going very fast for The Apple Cart, so to avoid disappointment make sure you get your hands on one asap, which you can do here.
