We’ve all had a week to get to know it and stream it incessantly, but today is the big day: ‘Skying’ is finally released.  After the success of second album ‘Primary Colours,’ this was always going to be a hugely anticipated album, and after listening to it last week it really does live up to expectations.  

Even though we’ve still been able to listen to it, there’s nothing like having it for yourself and being able to take it with you everywhere you go.  So don’t hesitate and get your hands on this great record!

Edit: The Horrors have announced that they will be playing an extremely intimate free gig tonight at The Shacklewell Arms, Dalston.  It is strictly first come, first served and the doors open at 8.

The hit of the summer ‘Up Up Up’ now has an equally vibrant and uplifting video to go with it, and if they put this much energy and enthusiasm into performing for a video, then you know they are a band that you simply have to see live!

This is turning out to be a big week for Austra and Austra fans.  Ahead of their sold out show tonight at Cargo, they have announced that they shall be releasing a remix album titled “Sparkle” which includes remixes of ‘Lose It,’ Beat And The Pulse’ and ‘Spellwork.’  But, perhaps the biggest news of all is that they have been shortlisted for the Polaris Prize.  Much like the Mercury Prize in the UK, the Polaris Prize looks to celebrate the very best of Canadian music with artistic merit being the only criterion.  Congratulations Austra!
