The Trevor Jackson directed video for Dave.i.d’s “Marvel,” which is taken from his debut album ‘Response,’ has premiered over on the NME website. Like the music, it really does have a dark and mysterious air to it that can only add to the excitement and anticipation of his live show.
Watch it HERE.
Tonight’s line-up really is something special. With Swedish Balearic pop pioneers Air France DJing, the Guardian’s “best new act of the year by miles” Star Slinger and Memory Tapes who has just released the widely acclaimed ‘Player Piano’ both playing live.
Often labelled as a ‘chillwave’ artist, watch Memory Tapes break free from that label with this incredible reworking of ‘Bicycle’ at last years SXSW.
After tearing up the blogosphere for the past 12 months, Star Slinger is now working on some totally new material and, fingers crossed, hopefully we’ll get a sneak preview tonight.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen or heard much from Air France and so hopefully tonight marks the beginning of their return back into making incredibly blissful music like this.
This is the video for “Still Life” which is taken from The Horrors’ latest album ‘Skying.’ A video to match a truly wonderful sound, we just can’t get enough of this!
We’re all very excited about this Wednesday and having the chance to finally see Dayve Hawk, aka Memory Tapes, perform material from the critically acclaimed ‘Player Piano.’ In the meantime, you can listen to his July Tour EP which contains remixes of “Wait In The Dark” and “Yes I Know.”
Stream the EP HERE or download it for free HERE.
Whilst they were at Glastonbury, Metronomy took a little time out to play a fantastic acoustic version of ‘The Look’ which you can watch right here.
