We love a good making of video because it combines two things we like – geekery and snooping. Metronomy have kindly swept back the curtain on their new video for ‘The Look’ and it’s an interesting, fun watch as usual. Check it out above.

We are sorry to see the end of the great Lyle and Scott curated events. They were all terrific fun and we saw some great emerging talent. Check out this short video of the most recent gig for further proof.

We embraced technology with open arms and our hair flapping in the wind yesterday. Yes, Eat Your Own Ears conducted our first #eyoemeets Twinterview. For those of you don’t know that is a Twitter Interview, made in to one word – presumably to save on characters.

It’s an interesting format, with everybody watching, and only space for 140 characters but we gave it a good go and got some interesting answers too:

@EatYourOwnEars been dubbed by Dennis Bovell. He said on the first day ” if you smoke enough of this, you can find the reggae in anything

@EatYourOwnEars He replayed the bass, guitars and piano. Its great, i’m very happy with it. Always wanted to make a pure dub record

@EatYourOwnEars well right from the first BB record Tubby was in there for me. we ripped of his artwork for Champion Versions!

@SteveMasonKBT will you play it live in dub format ever you think?

@EatYourOwnEars that would be expensive to do, but it is something we talked about. I would love to and Dennis is up for it.

@EatYourOwnEars i dont think that will be financially possible, sadly. But i would love to carry on working with Rich. He’s great

@EatYourOwnEars Not now. It would have to feel like the right time. That time may never come. But it might! Not this year though. or next

@SteveMasonKBT Seems like you hit a real creative stride the past year or so anyway so makes sense to keep pushing forward rather than back.

@EatYourOwnEars The Barrowlands in Glasgow is the ultimate venue in the UK. Great people, top atmosphere. I like Bush Empire aswell

@EatYourOwnEars but, yes i’m excited about the Scala. Its my biggest solo show ever i think.
