The sun is shining in London today, so we have taken the liberty of making our April mix a little early. It’s a Spring sounding mix, leaning in to some serious Summer vibes, so let it fill your sunny afternoon with some good sounds.

Video: Metronomy – The Look

We heard this one a couple of weeks ago and now it has an official video complete with anamatronic bird percussion, some funky basslines and Joe seems to be playing a spaceship organ. Take a look (sorry) above.

Video: Perfume Genius

Check out this haunting video of Perfume Genius playing one of his heartbreakers live recently. It’s intense and everything great about this kind of music, we can’t wait to see it in the flesh in May.

The Horrors Return

The Horrors make their eagerly awaited return with the announcement of three live dates in June, their first UK shows of 2011.

They play Glasgow on the 15th of June, Manchester the following night and then a London show at York Hall in Bethnal Green on the 17th of June.

Currently in the studio, The Horrors will use the shows to unveil a selection of new tracks from their forthcoming album for the very first time.

As yet untitled, the new album is their third long player and the follow up to 2009’s ‘Primary Colours’ and is set for release on XL Recordings in the Summer.

JUNE 15TH – ORAN MOR, GLASGOW
JUNE 16TH – ACADEMY, MANCHESTER
JUNE 17TH – YORK HALL. LONDON (EAT YOUR OWN EARS)

Poster: Lyle and Scott Presents March 31st

It’s the final Lyle and Scott curated event at XOYO. They have been fantastic and it’s going out on a big bang. Don’t miss it!

Dels Pop-up Shop/Video

Here’s a new idea. Dels is launching a special pop-up shop for one day to celebrate the release of his debut album (he also plays for us the same night). Check his new video for GOB above too. The details for the shop are:

7 April
11am – 8pm, free entry
Arthur & Albert Studio, E8 9EA

To celebrate the release of ‘GOB’, DELS, Over It & Co are curating a one day only pop-up sweet shop/exhibition that will showcase artwork inspired by the album.
