Foreign Office

Unfortunately Wilder have pulled out of Thursday’s Lyle and Scott gig but we are very pleased to welcome Foreign Office as replacements. They are supremely tight and clever band. Check out the video for ‘On Repeat’ up there. They play alongside Tribes, Life In Film and Paradise Point.

NME/Radio 1 Sessions: TRIBES

Flicking through the pages of the NME this morning we are excited to read that they have teamed up with BBC Radio One for some special new band sessions. NME Radar and BBC Introducing are still two of the leading lights for breaking new music and Tribes have been cherry-picked for one of these sessions.

You can catch the boys at XOYO on Thursday for a Lyle and Scott/Eat Your Own Ears show. Going to be an exciting one.

Cat’s Eyes

We are very excited to announce that we will be promoting some shows from Cat’s Eyes – a.k.a. Faris Badwan of The Horrors new project. There are some more details in the event section of our website but for now watch this pretty special clip of Cat’s Eyes performing live at The Vatican.

New project from Horror’s frontman – CAT’S EYES

HORRORS frontman Faris Badwan announces E.P release and a short run of dates for his new project, CAT’S EYES, formed with classical singer RACHEL ZEFFIRA. For more info read on:

Cat’s Eyes are a duo formed by Rachel Zeffira, a Canadian opera soprano and classical multi-instrumentalist based in London, and Faris Badwan, the singer from British psychedelic-rockers The Horrors. In the collision of their two very separate worlds, something magical has come into being. Cat’s Eyes eponymous debut album is a romantic pop masterpiece fit to dine at the same table as mid-’60s productions by Phil Spector, Joe Meek or Shadow Morton, but with a fiercely modern, experimental premise, which constantly leaves you wondering just what you’re listening to, and how on earth it was created.

Ahead of the album, the debut release from Cat’s Eyes is the ‘Broken Glass EP,’ available as 2 x 7 inch singles and as a download from 28th February. Both EP and album were recorded at RealWorld studios near Bath with producer Steve Osborne. All Cat’s Eyes artwork is designed and photographed by Chris Cunningham.

‘Broken Glass EP’ tracklisting:
1. Cat’s Eyes
2. Best Person I Know
3. Sunshine Girls
4. Love You Anyway

Cat’s Eyes first live appearance took place in December, amid some secrecy, at St Peter’s in the Vatican, where they performed a reworked version of their song ‘I Knew It Was Over’ during an afternoon mass attended by several high-ranking cardinals. Footage from the Vatican can be viewed at www.catseyesmusic.com where you can also get a free download of the Cat’s Eyes track ‘Not A Friend.’

Cat’s Eyes will be playing the following venues in March:
