Field Day is a brand new summer event bringing together the cream of London’s alternative concert and club promoters to the East End’s greenest of gardens Victoria Park.
Expect a day of incredible music, dancing and maximum hoopla set in London’s heartland. Music is the main driver but It will have all the charm of a village fete and if you don’t even catch a band you would still have a great time.
It is brought to you by London’s leaders and lovers of the leftfield: Eat Your Own Ears, Adventures In The Beetroot Field, Bugged Out! and Homefires; who have come together to bring you the most cutting edge line up of emerging bands and DJ’s. The track record of these event promoters proves that cutting edge music and wild parties are not mutually exclusive.
The hottest line up of bands include Scotlands freshest talent-1990’s, The Aliens, the ever foot stomping Erol Alkan and Jo Jo De Freq. The legend that is Andrew Weatherall will also be performing alongside a sizzling summer line up that includes Metronomy, Foals and Bat For Lashes amongst others. Critically acclaimed post-rock outfit Fridge will be playing their first live gig for 6 years featuring the formidable Four Tet and Adem (who also both play live) who will make a rare outing to deliver a set of new material from their forthcoming album, alongside some older tracks.
This line up of hot new things presents to you a summer fete of the best home grown talent. With special line up announcements to follow shortly, it really is the prize-winning icing on the village cake.
Expect this boutique, intimate event –with a capacity of 5000 – to have the atmosphere of a psychedelic village fete, with a ceiledh, bunting, hay bales, hog roasts and Tombola as well as the four main music stages, and expect eccentric, fun East End turns from Victoria Parks' band stand.
"Having announced Field Day there seems to be a really positive and exciting buzz about the event. We are really happy with the line up and are now working on making the Village Fete vibe come alive with Morris Men, A Barn Dance, Bunting, some traditional fair rides, locally sourced food and much more…" Tom Baker – Eat Your Own Ears
