….."SCOUT NIBLETT has recorded with the legendary Steve Albini, and reduces audiences around the world to jibbering wrecks with the sheer force of her performances.  Playing the drums and singing so loudly and gleefully it sounds like her lungs might burst: 'It's all for you!' she yelps onstage, like a kid offering a present of slugs and petals and drawings. It's all for you! Tonight she plays new material from 'Kidnapped By Neptune', the recent album out now on Too Pure.

American troubadour BENJY FERREE plays his first London show since signing to Domino with a live show at The Spitz on Wednesday 2 May.

His tunes that are full of infectious melodic hooks, airy spaces and swinging moments, there are tons of folk elements – fiddle, banjo – country and even the blues, evoking Beatles circa 'Revolver' and early Bob Dylan.

Scratchmaster, illustrator, graphic artist, film maker, puppet master and musician KID KOALA flys in from Vancouver, Canada to play a rare and bind blowing set using four turntables of cut up samples, scratching, beat juggling as he smoothly mixes jazz standards played by drunken horn players from New Orleans to hip hop from the other side and ska like you never imagined it… its quick, witty and technically absurd!!

"A cartoony, day-glo mix of ragtime rock n' roll, blues and movie samples. Your Mom's is as funny as it is funky. File between Hendrix and The Simpsons" The Times

"An appealing mix of classic hip-hop, beats, breaks and plenty of heavy guitars… A Master" The Sun

“One of the few vinyl manipulators to wield the wheels of steel with genuine artistic grace and ambition.”  Independent

“An album that that not only entertains but does so on several different levels… Lose Yourself In Kid Koala's krackpot world… Dazzling.”  Mojo

"There is something incredibly happy about listening to Kid Koala; the rhythm and blend are perfect whatever mood you're in when you hit the play button."  Blowback

DEXTRO
Consequence Music is the debut album from Dextro, aka 27 year-old Glaswegian Ewan Mackenzie. “Dextro is a Latin word that literally means ‘right hand side’, and has connotations relating to being sly and skilful,” he says. “I don’t profess to being sly and skilful, but I like the idea of the word suggesting the idea of the ‘right side’, the good side.” Dextro indeed lies on the right side of the force and constructs fine electronic music that is both warm and emotive. His beautifully structured, highly melodic and richly layered electronica that – while making nods to heroes Brian Eno, Neu and Phillip Glass, and recalling more contemporary artists such as Ulrich Schnauss, Boards Of Canada and Mogwai – is distinctly his own. Featured by the mighty Bleep.com as one of their album's of the week, the record is set to win over fans of richly layered electronic music everywhere.

DEXTRO – Consequence Music – Out Now.

"… aspires to the windswept upperslopes of ambient grandeur where Sigur
Ros or Mogwai might pitch camp." Uncut

"… an album that combines the electronics of BOC and the guitar crescendos
of Mogwai with a touch of My Bloody Valentine's 'Loveless'." 4/5 DJ Magazine

" …a narcoleptic dreamworld of lush, orchestrated ambient soundscapes.
Highly Recommended." Rocksound

" A significant and exciting addition to , by definition, a bold and experimental field, 'Consequence Music' is a tender yet energising classic. Clash Magazine

After the acclaimed release of The Golden Age BOBBY CONN is back this time with a vengeance to promote his new album King for a Day out on Thrill Jockey on February 20th.

BOBBY CONN and his band play an energetic live set of songs that will make you want to bang your head to, shake your fist to and dance along to… with its disco guitar wah, Prince like funk, pounding huge beats and driving strings over Bobby Conn's T-Rex esq vocals and sexually-charged Iggy Pop like stage presence.  BOBBY CONN “filters the maddest excesses of ‘70’s rock, glam and disco through the mind of a natural punk.” – NME
