Great performance on WFUV from Here We Go Magic recently. They play a hypnotic version of Make Up Your Mind calling to mind memories of their two brilliant shows with us this year. Some of 2012’s best for sure.
BBC Sound of 2013 Longlist
The BBC Sound of 2013 Longlist is out and we’re pleased to see a couple of EYOE favourites on there. The whole list is below, and we’re particular happy to see Savages, CHVRCHES and King Krule make the grade. We’re expecting big things from all three next year. It gives us a handy excuse to re-post the excellent performance from Savages on Jools earlier this year. Tickets for their show in February are still just about on sale here.

Ahead of their free show at The Waiting Room tonight Amusement have shared a nice new tune called Mural. It launches into a hazy, romantic atmosphere right away – you could almost imagine a Christmas version.
In support tonight is Valentina who you might remember from her stunning vocal on Joe Goddard’s Gabriel.
Free Show: Eaux
Here’s one we’re anticipating heavily. Eaux join us at the Shacklewell Arms on the 18th of December for a free show. The band have made some of the most exciting and intriguing new music of the year. “New Peaks” is a particular favourite, its low end droning spookily beneath a pretty vocal. The video above was directed by Douglas Hart, who was an original member of The Jesus and Mary Chain !
