The latest in an amazing well of young British electronica talent, Berlin based producer Seams looks like he’s well on the way to becoming the cream of the crop with the announcement that he’ll be signing to eclectic London label Full Time Hobby.

Seams has already managed to fit a whole lot into his burgeoning creative journey, from tours with the likes of Gold Panda, Dam Mantle and I Break Horses, to a session with Huw Stephens and releases with Tough Love and Pictures. He really came to prominence last year with 12” ‘Focus Energy/Motive Order,’ the spidery hooks of each gradually sprawling outwards into an all-encompassing late night club sound – a progression that is notable again on new track ‘Potential’, taken from a forthcoming EP due this summer.

You can download the Microburst Remix of Seams’ track ‘The Long Wait’ here.

PLUS SUPPORT FROM OLUBENGA

While Olugbenga has become a huge name in his own right, he is arguably best known as the bass player of Mercury nominees Metronomy. That aside he has risen to prominence and gained a superb reputation as a solo producer. ‘Epic & Blues’, his first ‘release’, (despite being free to download!) is a mix tape that’s gained glowing comments from critics and the original artists featured in the remixes. Clash music said of his mix tape that he was able to “stamp his own unique identity on each song… spreading his wings” The hypnotic rhythm he brings in his unique style couples with the excitement and intensity of the original song promises to bring an incredible performance wherever he appears. 7BitArcade having seen him live described it as a “mind blowingly slick set.” This really will be one not to miss, but get tickets early, they’re likely to be gone fast!
