We’ve got a very exciting show next week with Outfit, who are gearing up for the release of their debut record on August 12th. The band play a small show at Sebight Arms on Thursday (TICKETS) and we’ll be hoping to see Two Islands – as showcased by this session take, a very excellent live moment indeed.
Duologue have pushed the boundaries of the music video for their latest, excellent single Machine Stop. The video invites you into its world courtesy of some special 3D technology. You can explore the vid in that format here, or watch the directors cut above!
We’ve been watching Arthur Beatrice for a while now – their series of Open Assembly shows have been hugely exciting. Carter (Uncut) is taken from their upcoming EP and charts another step in the rise of one of the UK’s best new bands. Watch the video for the song above, and join us at the next Open Assembly, details below.

Polica’s excellent single Tiff came out this week. Hot on the heels of its release is this violent, dark video for the song, featuring Justin Vernon. Have a listen/watch above and snag tickets to see them at Night and Day here.

With The xx’s Night+Day event rapidly approaching we’re running a few pieces centered around the acts performing at the festival. First up is Jamie xx who will be DJing on the bandstand, and rounding off the festival in his usual role as The xx’s beat magician. We’re rather partial to a Jamie xx remix here at EYOE, and here’s a selection of our favourites…
Adele – Rolling in the Deep
Possibly the most well known Jamie xx edit, chances are high you’ve danced to this one late at night. Jamie takes Adeles thunderous original and super-charges it, rolling even deeper.
Glasser – Tremel
Slightly older take here, but an excellent rework of Glasser’s already brilliant tune Tremel.
Radiohead – Bloom
Another big favourite and the standout mix from Radiohead’s King of Limbs remix set. Jamie contributed another couple of parts to his rework of Bloom but Part 3 is unforgettable.
Four Tet – Lion
Jamie xx keeps it in the EYOE family, taking on Four Tet’s Lion to great effect. Come for the bass, stay for the blissful piano.
The xx – Basic Space
Swinging back full circle now, and to The xx’s debut record. Jamie xx’s rework of Basic Space is another favourite of ours and puts a fresh spin on the band’s understated calling card.
