Field Day Radio Episode 10
Field Day Radio is back for a tenth show, and this time features an exclusive, in-depth interview with legendary rock drummer Ginger Baker, who is renowned for his work with seminal bands Cream and Blind Faith as well as with Afrobeat creator Fela Kuti. In this interview he takes us on an incredible journey through his life: back to his school days when he used his desk as a drum kit, to the musicians he admires, to his times with Cream and all the way to Africa (he lived in Nigeria for 6 years)…
Plus there is music from King Krule, Jagwar Ma, Metz and Happa; Four Tet’s brilliant remix of Justin Timberlake’s Suit & Tie, classic tracks by Cream and Fela Kuti, as well as a live recording of the Miles Davis Quintet performing ‘Bitches Brew’ back in 1969.
